In 2016, Stitching Girls discovered Camp Huston in Goldbar where other sewing/quilting groups have frequently held retreats. They squeezed us into an open weekend for our summer Members Only Weekend Retreat, which has since turned into another annual event. The cool shadey setting of the Conference Center offers spectacular views of forest and mountains. We sleep in clusters of rooms with 2 twin beds in each and shared bathrooms. We sew in the same building in a tall ceiling space with a wall of windows for good natural light. Camp Huston spoils us with their home style cooking for many different dietary needs.
