Welcome to the brand NEW
Stitching Girls Society

We are a non-profit organization established in November 2009 by a group of people who had been attending the Vashon Island Sewing Retreats  for 25 years.  Our organization name comes from our theme song.  Our main function is to sponsor and manage the Sewing Retreats held annually on Vashon Island in Washington State.   Click here to learn more about these Sewing Retreats.

Purpose

The purpose of the Stitching Girls Society  is to promote interest in and perpetuation of sewing, garment making, quilt making and other needle and fiber arts skills;  to provide inspiration, fellowship and educational opportunities through events, classes and sewing retreats; and to encourage and facilitate the donation of sewn articles to charitable organizations.  To learn more about us, please see our About Us Page.

Membership

Membership is open to all who like to sew and who support our purpose and goals, regardless of race, gender, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation or religion.  Annual Dues are $50.  For more information, please see our Membership Page.

Activities

Come join us at one of our Vashon Island Sewing Retreats or other activities. For more information, please see our Activities Page.

Dialogues

One of our activities is to stay in touch with a Members only dialogue, where we share lots of interesting tid bits about our sewing rooms, our sewing projects, our favorite sewing tools, tips and shops.  Recently several of our Members attended the 2010 Sewing & Stitchery Expo in Puyallup, Washington.  Please see our Dialogues Page to read what they are reporting about it.
